Professor Graeme Yorston is a Consultant Forensic Neuropsychiatrist who acts as an Expert Witness for both Claimants and Defendants.
Graeme deals with all matters pertaining to:
Complex neuropsychiatric cases: including traumatic brain injury, military PTSD and neuro-degenerative disorders addressing condition and prognosis, causation, capacity and clinical negligence.
Criminal cases: including fitness to plead and stand trial, ability to form intent, automatism and diminished responsibility. Graeme has given evidence in the criminal courts on many occasions.
Graeme’s main special interest is in old age psychiatry.
He continues to attend medico legal conferences to maintain and update his legal profile.
Graeme has been Consultant Forensic Neuropsychiatrist and Associate Medical Director with St Matthew’s Healthcare in Northampton since 2012.
Since 1999 Graeme has been involved in giving interviews to esteemed establishments as The Times; Good Morning Britain and Scottish TV News. To radio stations across the UK. Graeme has been interviewed by BBC West Country News following a murder trial and by Yomiuri Shimbun a Japanese newspaper regarding elderly homicides.
